It was a pleasure and a relief to have found Susan and David Maryanski when my husband and I were faced with selling my deceased sister’s home which was little more than a shell. It was difficult to imagine how that house, which had just begun extensive renovations when she fell sick, was going to attract a buyer. But when Susan and David saw the property, they were able to envision what it could be and set to work extolling the virtues of the house while always remaining realistic. Through every step of the process, Susan and David were there to answer our endless questions and to calm my jitters. Their marketing materials were superb and really tapped into the innate beauty and possibilities of the property. Not only were Susan and David exceptional in their primary roles as agents but their network of reliable contacts from appraisers to debris removal and locksmiths was invaluable. The house sold in a short time for a fair price which made us very happy. Susan and David’s professionalism, personal touch, empathy and great sense of humor made the selling experience remarkably positive. We were equally grateful for the work of Lacey Micewicz, Director of Operations, who kept the process flowing smoothly. She answered questions quickly and clearly and was ever patient, knowledgeable and cheerful. Susan, David and Lacey make the business understandable to the layperson and add the human touch throughout the process. It was by sheer luck that we were put in touch with Susan and David after making a cold call to inquire about a Hoboken listing of theirs. A quick phone conversation with them was all we needed to know how warm and genuine they are as people. It was clear from our first outing together that Susan and David really do hustle to put the customer first--whether it was meeting with us for a full day of apartment tours on New Years Eve, working with our very rigid schedule of evening appointments/calls, with periodic calls to check in during periods of limited inventory. We were looking for our first multi-family property in Northern NJ to begin our real estate investment portfolio. After a few meetings with some lackluster agents, a friend recommended Opulent Living, who helped her and her husband find their first home. Dave and Susan lived up to every expectation we had in buying our first home. In our first meeting with them, they were very personable and professional, walking us through every step of the process in buying our home. Most importantly, our first impression of Dave and Susan was that they cared and understood what we were looking for. We knew immediately they were a perfect fit for us. During the search process, we had limited knowledge of what towns were right for us. Dave and Susan have a ton of experience and helped us shortlist 2-3 towns to look into based on our price range and other important factors. Once we found our home and were prepared to make an offer, Dave & Susan gave us some excellent coaching that put us in position to close the deal. We were on a tight deadline to identify a legal rep and a lender. Opulent Living's network made quick work of lining up the resources we needed to move forward with the deal. All this amidst the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic. It would have been easy for us to back out of the sale due to the uncertainty but Dave and Susan helped keep a positive perspective. Dave and Susan each bring their own skillset to the table. Susan excelled at working with the seller's agent while Dave excelled at helping us stick to the process. They both excelled at working with us to round out a very successful buying process. I would (and have) recommend Opulent Living to anyone looking to purchase in Northern NJ.
